What We Do

Creating opportunities, breaking barriers, and building futures in the construction industry.

What We Do

Workshops Programmes

We connect emerging talent with employers and training providers, bridging ambition and opportunity.

  • Providing course information and signposting training providers’ enrolment days to our target market. Covering trades such as carpentry, multi trade, electrical, drylining,  plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, construction operations and logistics entry level pathways.
  • Workshops that raise awareness through lived experiences in building industry career pathways and self-employment within the built environment.
  • Workshops focused on site social induction and construction site well-being, covering topics such as anxiety in the workplace, building resilience, understanding confidence, and mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Connecting trained individuals to partner recruiters and social value-focused employers.
  • Facilitating connections to modern industry networking groups such as Fit Out Futures.
  • Linking hands-on operatives with trade mentors.

Section 106 Compliance

We help developers, employers and local authorities deliver meaningful workforce and social value outcomes through equity-led inclusion.

Altar Create CIC supports partners to:

  • Meet Section 106 and Social Value commitments

  • Address construction skills shortages

  • Build inclusive, resilient workforce pipelines

  • Engage underrepresented communities through practical pathways

We design and deliver pre-employment programmes, work placements, skills bootcamps, wellbeing support and community engagement, aligning employer demand with local talent and training provision.

Our approach goes beyond compliance. We focus on long-term impact, supporting people into sustainable employment while helping organisations create workplaces where diverse talent can thrive.

Mental Health, Inclusion & Equity Support & Outreach

Across the construction industry, there are many positive wellbeing and welfare initiatives in place. These efforts matter, and they reflect a growing recognition that people’s health and dignity must be protected at work.

At Altar Create CIC, we are committed to supporting emotional wellbeing and reducing stigma around mental health within the construction and built environment.

As part of this commitment, we offer talks, workshops, and facilitated conversations that gently open up dialogue around mental health, wellbeing, and belonging in the industry. These sessions are designed to be accessible, reflective, and human meeting people where they are.

Our speaking and awareness sessions can be tailored for:

  • Young people and young adults

  • Early-career entrants and trainees

  • Community groups and education settings

  • Employers and site teams

The focus is on inclusion and equity, ensuring that everyone feels able to participate, be heard, and feel respected regardless of background or experience.

Sessions are led by facilitators with lived and professional experience, offering honest insight into mental health challenges alongside practical coping strategies and signposting to support. We create calm, supportive spaces where conversations can happen without pressure, judgement, or expectation to share more than feels safe.

These sessions are not about diagnosing or fixing people. They are about:

  • Normalising conversations around wellbeing

  • Encouraging early support-seeking

  • Building understanding, empathy, and connection

  • Helping individuals feel less alone as they enter or progress in work

Organisations can invite Altar Create CIC to speak at events, workshops, or programmes as part of a wider commitment to people-centred workplaces.

Long-Term Culture Change

Our ambition is to contribute to long-term cultural change across the built environment where wellbeing, fairness, inclusion, and respect are part of everyday practice, not an add-on.

By embedding wellbeing into workforce development and early career pathways, we aim to:

  • Reduce isolation and disengagement

  • Improve retention and progression

  • Strengthen site culture and team dynamics

  • Help position construction as a sustainable, human-centred career choice for future generations

This is not about replacing existing services. It is about connecting people to them, strengthening what already exists, and ensuring no one feels they have to face challenges alone.
